Sina Ata Born in New York, USA   Born in New York, USA , in 1955, Sina graduated in civil engineering from the University of Baghdad in 1977, and in building management from the University of London in 1980. He turned to painting in the 1980s. His work has since been shown in a number of solo exhibitions in the Middle East and London and group exhibitions in the Middle East, Europe and the United States, including the touring exhibition Strokes of Genius: Contemporary Iraqi Art, which began in 2000 in London, Word into Art, Artists of the Modern Middle East in Dubai in 2008, following a successful run at the British Museum in 2006. Sina’s works are in private collections worldwide and in the collection of the British Museum, London, UK.
