Courtyard Gallery showcased the works of
Iraqi artist Sinan Hussein.
On the white surface of the canvas as it is on earth… There is always a right moment for emotional growth and maturity, evolution and transformation.
Sinan is not afraid to travel through the white space… journeying in the soft and smooth patches of colors. Circles encapsulate his figures, all sublime and
indiscernible, cloned in the form of birds, flowers and ciphers.
His works depict the marriage of female and male figurines surrounded by
members of their Tribe. The left leg’s position of the male figure is a symbol of the triumph of mind over emotions. The more emotionally inclined female figurine
is stepping the opposite way. This duality
of thinking is the prime concept around
which his works evolve.
Sinan has picked up a new thread of
surrealistic Art with refreshing and
renewed techniques, colors and materials,
all in a delicate conceptual blend and
expressive pictorial structure. |
