Places: Faika Al Hasan March 10 - 26, 2009   The Courtyard Gallery & Café were pleased to showcase Bahraini artist Faika Al Hasan. In her exhibition, Faika explores different places, yet, one element in these places captures her brush, it's the woman. In all places, the woman is the most present… watching over us like a guardian angel. Her presence turns a place into a paradise of lush almond trees… her words bring light. The moon visits her place, sprinkling its sweet light, radiating hope; like the hope inspired by the scents of basil and lavender. The sun colours her days…sometimes in yellow, sometimes in orange and some other times in deep red… like her lips.
